answer: Righteousness from the passage is having to believe in Allah, His messenger (prophet Mohammed S.AW), believe in the last day, the angels, and the book. Having believe in the articles of Faith.
Also, a righteous believer gives out of his wealth to his kin, the needy, the wayfarer (people on a journey), orphans, and beggars. He should give out of love to earn the reward.
A righteous person is also patient during times of distress or affliction. He doesn't go against Allah in trying to find solutions to his problems. He also keeps promises and doesn't betray people's trust.
