THE FOLLOWING IS A TOTALLY FICTIONAL SCENARIO (as far as I know):
A small mass star is sitting out in space, fusing hydrogen and just doing its thing like it has been for about 7 billion years. Suddenly, which isn’t very sudden because we are talking about the scale of the universe, “something happens” and the star’s mass has become 100 times larger. How will this larger mass impact the trajectory of the stars “life cycle”? Will it live longer or shorter? Will it burn hotter or cooler? Will this impact the ultimate ending of the star?
