DESCRIPTION
Remains constant in a parallel circuit.
Total value decreases if more is added to a parallel circuit.
Is measured in Watt, kVA or unit. Remains constant in a series circuit.
Potential difference Electrical power An ammeter is always connected in this configuration. In a parallel circuit the total measured for every resistor is equal to that measured for the battery. In a series circuit the total measured for every resistor is equal to that measured for the battery. The total for a series circuit is equal to the sum of all the values. A voltmeter is always connected in this configuration. Is the product of current and voltage, therefore current and voltage are reversely proportional.
