PROJECT: COMPARING AND CONTRASTING MEDIA COVERAGE Suppose you're reading a news article and think maybe the reporter left out some important details. Maybe it just seems like the writer was a little bit biased in her reporting, or maybe you're having trouble deciding if what's there is fact or opinion. What should you do? If you've paid attention throughout this chapter, you know that the best way to get accurate news is to compare a variety of sources. This project will give you some practice doing just that. OBJECTIVES Compare coverage of the same event from two sources. Describe the pros and cons of each kind of coverage as well as the bias.
