Find specific Job opportunities Identify the types of skills needed Consider the educational expectations, such as a degree, certification, graduate work, professional, or vocational Estimate the projected cost of education Calculate the length of time for education, i.e., from a few months to several years Consider the career prospects, e.g., the #s in field, growth of field, potential lateral moves, obsolescence, etc. Check out the beginning and average salary Research the required continuing education.
