Professor Renata from the University of New Jersey has been working on a new cholesterol medication that is being called TriglicoStopper. The university is now conducting studies to determine if there is a possible side effect of nose bleeds. Placebo (Population Rate) To help determine the usual rate of nose bleeds, the research team gave a placebo (sugar pill) to 1557 subjects. Of those 1557 subjects, 2 of them developed nose bleeds. TriglicoStopper Trial The TriglicoStopper drug was given to 2180 subjects. Of those 2180 subjects, 10 of them developed nose bleeds.
