First, describe one of the lab activities from class (Perceptual Processing Activity
or Stroop Task Activity) using top-down and bottom-up processing.
Then, describe the 5 sensory experiences (visual, hearing, taste, smell, and touch)
and how top-down and bottom-up processing are both necessary to understand
the sensory experience. For example: I heard a few notes of music. Bottom-up
processing is when the music notes generated sound waves that stared the neural
processing in the ear. Top-down processing is when my previous experience with
those notes, helped me to identify the name of the song. Provide an example for
each of the other five senses. Each example should state ONE experience that
combines the bottom-up sensory input (hearing music notes) with the top-down
contextual input (identifying the name of the song) into one sensory experience.
