Why Are Zoos Important?

Forests across the world are full of fascinating animals and birds. However, because of deforestation and global warming, many animals are facing the threat of extinction. A zoo helps to protect and conserve animals. Keeping animals in zoos ensures that at least a few of their species are safe and protects them from mass extinction.
Children and adults who live in cities seldom have the opportunity to watch a wild animal. Though people watch detailed documentaries of animals or observe their specimens in museums, these activities fail to provide them with the experience of observing animals in reality.
