A potential customer meets with an agent to purchase a life insurance policy or an annuity. The agent asks the person for a driver's license, a state ID, or a passport. The potential customer shows a passport with no picture and claims it is a military passport and they do not have pictures. The agent asks for another form of ID, and the potential customer becomes irate and is unable to produce one. He questions whether or not this insurance company actually wants his business. What should the agent do?
