A female driver reports for examination. Her current list of medications includes Effexor (venlafaxine) for what she reports was prescribed by her physician following her divorce last year. She noted that she is fine and really doesn't need it anymore. Her mannerism is fine and there is no apparent distress noted by the examiner. All other aspects of the examination are normal. The examiners best decision is to:
a) Put the driver into pending determination and request clearance for the medication and the condition from the prescribing provider.
b) Certify the driver for 1-year.
c) Certify the driver for 2 years.
d) Perform an Epworth questionnaire to determine if the medication was used as a sleep aide.
