Craig was a bartender and worked at the Hilton Hotel. Hilton's policy required all bartenders to card patrons to make sure they were all at least 21 years of age to purchase alcoholic beverages. Mike was 17 and arrived at the bar while Craig was working. Craig noticed that Mike was tall, had a beard, and looked like he was 25. Mike ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and Craig asked for his identification. Mike produced a fake identification which showed that he was 25. Craig served him a Long Island drink. Mike's parents found out about the incident and sued Craig and the Hilton for strict liability. Mike's parents are not likely to succeed in their lawsuit since Craig demanded identification from Mike.
