Uses:
a) Treatment of gram + organisms
b) Indicated for infections that are sensitive to these agents but resistant to penicillin
c) Certain gram - infections
d) Prophylaxis for patients with a high risk for severe adverse outcomes from bacterial endocarditis undergoing dental procedures likely to produce bleeding
e) Indicated for infections with sensitive organisms when other agents are ineffective or cannot be used
f) Soft tissue infections (abscess, cellulitis, post-surgical, pericoronitis)
g) Aerobes
h) Anaerobes and chronic infections
