During the treatment of a heart attack, tissue plasminogen actiivator (tpa) is used to dissolve the blood cell:
- a) Administer tissue plasminogen activator (tpa) as soon as possible after the onset of symptoms
- b) Monitor the patient closely for signs of bleeding, as tpa can increase the risk of bleeding
- c) Follow up with a coronary angiogram to assess the effectiveness of the tpa treatment
- d) Educate the patient on the importance of lifestyle changes to prevent future heart attacks
