3. If the suffix begins with a vowel and the main word ends with the letter y following two consonants, change the y to i.

4. If the suffix begins with a consonant and the main word ends with letter y following a consonant, change the y to i.

5. If the main word ends with the letter y following a vowel, do not change the y.
