Mary Warren is a character in The Crucible by Arthur Miller. She is the servant at the Proctors house after Abigail was let go. She is aware of the truth, and she knows that there is no witchcraft in Salem. She also knows that both Elizabeth and John are innocent. However, when Mary tries to help, she is too weak to do so. She ends up being dominated by her fear of the girls, and she accuses the innocent of witchcraft. She is Abigail's foil because her insecurity and fears contrasts with Abigail's confidence and decisiveness.
