Hello!

To find the area of a circle you use the equation

[tex] \pi r^{2} [/tex]

r is radius which is half the diameter

r = 2.6 / 2

r = 1.3

Put in the values you know

[tex] \pi 1.3^{2} [/tex]

Square the number

[tex]1.69 \pi = 5.31[/tex]

The answer is [tex]1.69 \pi [/tex] or ≈5.31

Hope this helps!
that's just area of a circle

remmber that [tex]A=\pi r^2[/tex] where r=radius and A is area and pi is pi or about 3.14159265

so if diameter is 2.6, ah, tricky, they give you dameter
rmemeber that d/2=r so 2.6/2=d/2=r=1.3

so
[tex]A=\pi r^2[/tex]
[tex]A=\pi (1.3)^2[/tex]
using your calculator
[tex]A=5.309 m^2[/tex]

the surface area is [tex]5.309 m^2[/tex]
