Hello there!
In relationships at times a women may be assualted. The reason a women might not leave a situation or relationship like this, is because they feel the still have "feelings" for their partner or husband. Women, being more emotional then men, will always want the relationship more than the man will. As seen in many failed relationships, men tend to be the ones who leave and decide to go somewhere else, more frequently than women.
However, after something bad has happened to a women or (female), they often and always want to tell someone about it. Sometimes a sister or brother, a close friend. If you are told by someone that they have been raped or sexually assualted, you could do one of the following:
#1 Suggest Lara towards therapy. Therapy is one of the most benefiacial ways of mentally and emotionally stabilizing yourself. Therapy may be good for Lara in this time.
#2 Help to give her good, exsperienced advice. Saying "Just leave him", is not something Lara may want to hear. Give her advice you think she will listen to. Maybe easing in the fact that she should talk to the police about her situation may help her more.
#3 Continue to help and be there for Lara when she needs you. Sometimes just having a friend in times like these can help emotionally stabilize a person.
These are just a few options.
Hope this helps you!
