The first three following lines reveal the monotony of the Lady of Shalott's existence:

We can see the monotony here because of how the Lady of Shalott is not ever free, it seems, to relax or play sport of any sort because she is constantly weaving, and if she is to ever “stay” (stop) her weaving, there would be a curse on her. Thus, the Lady of Shalott must endure the monotony of weaving day in and day out.
