Hypertension medication
Hypertension is a clinical condition encountered during pregnancy and it usually occurred after 20 weeks gestation without presence of protein in urine. Thus, pregnancy induced hypertension is determined by having a blood pressure greater than 140/90mm Hg.
The use of drug option is limited because many antihypertensive drugs have negative effect on the fetus but methyldopa, labetalol and hydrazine are commonly used for severe pregnancy hypertension.
