It was estimated that at about 200,000 people were killed and more than 2,000,000 displaced during the this war. It also has been a way for UN to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and, in the years following the conflict, the court brought charges against individuals from every ethnicity and nationality represented in the conflict.
