Karyotyping is a type of laboratory procedure allowing a doctor in examining the set of chromosomes. It refers to the collection of the chromosomes that are under examination.It allows doctors to check if there are abnormalities within a chromosome. To do this, the doctor can have a blood draw, a bone marrow biopsy and an amniocentesis.
