You have to eliminate A. If there are no students in either sport, you actually can't field a team.
You actually can't tell if their is a team with no one and the other team has players. B and C are wrong for the same reason A was wrong..
Your answer from this bunch is D but it's not clear that it is right. One team could practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the other on Mondays and Wednesdays. I don't know what you'd do on game day. But schools have worked that problem out, I'm sure. There would not be a conflict.
