Usually, it is challenging when only 1 responder does bag-valve mask ventilation to the patient as creating an airtight seal while pumping air is not really efficient with not enough experience. 2 responder ventilation alleviates this issue as 1 responder continues to pump air to the patient and 1 responder creates and maintains the airtight seal on the victim. This ensures proper and effective ventilation, especially while chest compressions are being performed by another rescuer.
