Washington beat Howe to Breed's Hill and had his men ready to fight and defeated the British.
George Washington had been named the commander-in-chief of the continental army was headed to Massachusetts when British General Howe had led a force of 3,000 soldiers near Moulton's hill south of Breeds Hill.
