The spanish conquered the great Aztec and Inca empires by bringing diseases to kill most of them off quickly, scaring them with the horses, and using their more advanced superior weapons to kill them.

The Spanish scared the Inca off with horses since they had never seen them before, they spread diseases that they weren't immune to, they killed them off with more advanced, and I'm pretty sure that they welcomed the Spanish with open arms but I'm not sure.
