As antelopes eat grass, a increase as large as this one will most likely mean that the grass will be eaten in much larger quantities. This will have an effect both on the antelopes and on other animals. As the population of antelopes grows, animals that eat antelopes will have more food, and their population is likely to increase too. However, animals that eat grass might find less sources of food. As the antelope population continues to grow, they will eventually run out of grass. When this happens, the population will decrease. In this way, ecosystems usually manage themselves depending on the amount of food that can sustain the animals.
