A worker at an orchard measures the mass of different numbers of apples. The scatter plot below shows the relationship between the mass, in kilograms, and the number of apples.

What is the slope of the line of best fit? Express your answer as a decimal and round to the nearest hundredth.

To find the slope, use this following formula
m = [tex]\dfrac{y_{2}-y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1}} [/tex]
with (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂) are points that lie on the graph

I use (0,0) as (x₁,y₁) and (10, 1.2) as (x₂,y₂)
See image attached

plug in the numbers to the formula
m = [tex]\dfrac{y_{2}-y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1}} [/tex]
m = [tex]\dfrac{1.2-0 }{10-0} [/tex]
m = [tex]\dfrac{1.2}{10} [/tex]
m = 0.12

The slope is 0.12
