An exponential regression equation is in the form [tex]y=a(b)^x[/tex]. When you turn on your stat plot in your calculator and then enter those values into L1 for x's and L2 for y's, your calculator uses those values as coordinates to write an equation of best fit. The stat button is used for this. Arrow over to Calc and press enter and it will give you the equation of best fit for these data. Our equation is [tex]y=11.55(1.85)^x[/tex]. The coefficient of determination is .98 so it's a really close fit.
