Civil liberties are basically the freedoms as enshrined in the first amendment. These freedoms are Freedom of expression,Freedom of speech,Freedom of assembly,Freedom of press,Freedom of religion,Freedom of conscience,Right to liberty and security,Freedom from torture. difference between civil liberties and human rights is the reason for having them. The rights are guaranteed by virtue of being human, while liberties are guaranteed by the state.
