Respuesta :

How come some people are so much more happy than others?  Everyone in Athens say I am as beautiful as Hermia, but that doesn't matter because Demetrius doesn't think so.  He's making a mistake by running after Hermia, and I'm making a mistake by loving him.  Love is a powerful thing that can change our viewpoints, and it can make us blind in our eyes.  That's why paintings of Cupid always show him as being blind.  Also, love lacks judgement, and is reckless like a child (that's why Cupid is shown as a child).  At first, Demetrius said he loved me.  He made promises!  But then he fell in love with Hermia and broke them all.  I want Demetrius to like me, so I'll tell him that Hermia and Lysander plan to run away! Then he'll be grateful to me.
