We have the following function:

[tex]g(x)=4\sqrt{x}-8[/tex]

So if we graph this function we will get the Figure below. Thus, let's study both the equation and the graph to get some conclusions. Therefore, we can assure these statements:

First. The function is defined only for [tex]x\geq 0 [/tex] as shown in the Figure. This is also true because of [tex]\sqrt{x}[/tex] where [tex]x[/tex] must be greater (or equal) than zero.

Second. The range of the function are the values of [tex]y\geq -8[/tex].

Third. If [tex]x[/tex] creases then [tex]y[/tex] always creases, too.
