* Make the conversions:

1 km * 1000 => 1000 m

1 Km ----------- 1000 m
12 Km  --------- ??


12 * 1000 / 1 => 12,000 m

 she runs 10 * 400 m = 4000 m

Therefore:

12,000 m  / 4000 m  => 3 days
