THE HEIGHT
To find the height, use trigonometry ratio (tan) of 60°
[tex] \dfrac{\text{opposite}}{\text{adjacent}} [/tex] = tan α
plug in the numbers
[tex] \dfrac{height}{10}[/tex] = tan 60°
[tex] \dfrac{height}{10}[/tex] = √3
move 10 to the right side
height = 10√3
The height is 10√3 cm
THE AREA
To determine the area of a triangle, use the following formula
[tex]\boxed{a= \frac{1}{2} \times b \times h }[/tex]
b stands for the base, h stands for the height
plug in the numbers
a = 1/2 × b × h
a = 1/2 × 10 × 10√3
a = 5 × 10√3
a = 50√3
The area is 50√3 cm²
