Title companies refers to those companies that have many key functions in real estate transactions. They usually act as agents for all the involved parties, that is, the insurance company, the buyer, the seller, etc. Their functions include the reviewing of titles, issuance of insurance policy, documentation and closing of the transaction. The employee of the title company, who facilitates the closing of the transaction is called 'closer'.
