The height a plant grew varied directly with the number of days the plant was exposed to sunlight. What is the equation for this direct variation?
A) y = 1.09x
B) y= 1.09 + x
C) y = x - 1.09
D) y = 1.09 / x

Even though you already know the answer I shall give a simple explanation.
Yes you are correct it is A) Y= 1.09x
Because
3 x 1.09 = 3.27
4 x 1.09 = 4.36
And so on, Because the number mulitplied with it is the same as the y.
It wouldnt be  B because
3 + 1.09 = 3.09  Which isnt correct on the table
Same for all the other answers because subtracting and dividing it doesnt give the correct answer which is on the chart. Mulitplying does. So its A) y= 1.09 x
