McLaurin vs. oklahoma because it wanted oklahoma to follow the state rules regarding african americans to be able to get graduate or professional education
ANSWER: McLaurin Vs. Oklahoma dealt with the refusing college admission based on race. The person wanted to obtain a PhD but was denied because he was black.
Just for fun:
Dred Scott vs. Sanford dealt with blacks obtaining American citizen status. Dred was a slave who gained his freedom when owner moved to a free state, I believe Illinois. He then sued for his freedom. That's the short version.
Shelley vs. Kraemer dealt with blacks being able to purchase homes. He was denied because he was a negro and due to the area in which he bought the house. The area that he bought the house restricted blacks from purchasing homes. which Shelley was unaware of at the time of the purchase. Once again, layman terms.
Plessy vs. Ferguson dealt with racial segregation in public areas.
Hopefully this helped and good luck
