We know inverse variation function is y = [tex] \frac{k}{x} [/tex]
Here x is the input and y is the output.
when the function's input value is divided in half
x is divided in half so x becomes [tex] \frac{x}{2} [/tex]
Now replace x with [tex] \frac{x}{2} [/tex]
y = [tex] \frac{k}{x} [/tex]
y = [tex] \frac{k}{\frac{x}{2}} [/tex]
y = [tex] k * \frac{2}{x} [/tex]
y= [tex] \frac{k}{x} * 2 [/tex]
From this we can see that output y is doubled
when the function's input value is divided in half, then the output is doubled.
