Light waves manage to travel through vacuum, but sound cannot.

Vacuum originates when space doesn't contain nor air nor gas - when it's literally empty. Since there isn't anything in a vacuum, light can travel through it, but since sound depends on matter, such as air, to vibrate it cannot travel trough vacuu.

Through vacuum light waves travel but sound waves cannot travel. The correct option is C.

What are sound waves?

Sound waves are transverse waves that commute through a medium such as air or water. Even before we assume of sound, we frequently consider its amplitude or intensity and pitch or frequency.

Longitudinal waves, mechanical waves, and pressure waves are the three types of sound waves

Longitudinal Sound Waves is basically the one in which the motion of the particles in the medium is parallel to the direction of energy transport.

Light is an electromagnetic wave that can travel through any material medium.

As a result, it can travel in a vacuum, whereas sound is a mechanical wave that requires a medium to propagate. As a result, it cannot travel in a vacuum.

Thus, the correct option is C.
