Intercept from a table

Firstly, we will find equation of line
We can find equation of any line by selecting any two points
(10,20) and (15,12)
firstly , we will find slope
[tex] m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} [/tex]
x1=10 , y1=20 , x2=15 and y2=12
[tex] m=\frac{12-20}{15-10} [/tex]
[tex] m=-\frac{8}{5} [/tex]
now, we can use point slope form of line
[tex] y-y_1=m(x-x_1) [/tex]
[tex] y-20=-\frac{8}{5}(x-10) [/tex]
now, we can solve for y
[tex] y=-\frac{8}{5}x+36 [/tex]
x-intercept:
For finding x-intercept , we can set y=0
and then we can solve for x
[tex] 0=-\frac{8}{5}x+36 [/tex]
[tex] x=\frac{45}{2} [/tex]............Answer
y-intercept:
For finding y-intercept , we can set x=0
and then we can solve for y
[tex] y=-\frac{8}{5}*0+36 [/tex]
[tex] y=36 [/tex]............Answer
