(2x+4)^2-4x^2
Simplifying L.H.S.....

by the formula we can simplify (2x+4)^2 by using the formula (a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2*a*b
=>(2x)^2+(4)^2+2*2x*4
=>4x^2+16+16
=>4x^2+32
Now just plug in the R.H.S
Therefore,we get,
4x^2+32-4x^2
=>32 is the answer ....

[tex] \bf (2x+4)^2-4x^2\implies \stackrel{FOIL}{(2x+4)(2x+4)}-4x^2\implies \stackrel{FOIL}{4x^2+16x+16}-4x^2

16x+16\implies \stackrel{common~factoring}{16(x+1)} [/tex]
