New kinds of food and clothing became possible.

The domestication of animals is very advantageous for humans. Human benefits domesticated animals for clothing, medicine, work, food, and many other purposes.  

 

EXPLANATION:  

Based on National Geographic description, domestication of animals is defined as adapting wild animals for human use. It is a process to tame wild animals in nature. Thus, domestication of animals is an act of breeding wild animals over many generations to make them dependant on the human for survival so that domesticated animals can give benefits for humans.

The domestication of animals is started over years ago. Historically it was 10.000 years ago when Mesopotamia people started to do domestication of animals. Beforehand, Mesopotamia people have done domestication of plants. Mesopotamia benefited domesticated animals for meat, milk, and hides or skin. The first animal which has been domesticated was a goat, then it followed by a sheep.  

After Mesopotamia people were successfully done domestication of animals, Southeast Asia people started to domesticate animals. They domesticated chickens. In the past, individuals raised domesticated animals for certain traits. Yet, nowadays, people domesticate animals purely for clothing, food, or medicine.
