I need help with this on I don't really get it.

we have give given that [tex] (7^6)/(7^4) [/tex].
we need to simplify this.
we know that base and exponent rule.
[tex] \frac{a^n}{a^p} =a^(n-p) [/tex].
[tex] \frac{7^6}{7^4} =7^(6-4)=7^2 [/tex].
so [tex] 7^2=49 . [/tex]
So, we know that exponentiation is really just repeated multiplication. That means for this problem, we can really just write this as:
[tex] \frac{7*7*7*7*7*7}{7*7*7*7} [/tex]
We see that both the numerator and the denominator share 4 7s, which means we can cancel them out:
[tex] 7*7*\frac{7*7*7*7}{7*7*7*7}=7*7=49 [/tex]
