I believe the answer is: He wants us to figure out the deeper meaning for ourselves

One disadvantage of Ambiguous words is that it often took more time for the readers to finish a certain book/writings. The advantage on the other hand, it forced the leader to analyse the meaning of the words which often lead to deeper understanding on a certain topic.
