When one part of an ecosystem is damaged or destroyed, then it directly affects the remaining parts, and results in the collapsing of the ecosystem. It is because all the organisms are depending on each other forming a food chain. For example, If a particular species belonging to the producer is destroyed then the consumers are directly affected.
