For each sentence, cirle the object being personified and tell how its being personified.

1. The China danced on the shelves during the earthquake.
2. The rain kissed my cheeks as it fell.

In the first sentence, the China on the shelves is rattling, and being personified by saying that it's dancing -

And in the second sentence, the rain is being personified by giving it the human action of kissing, when it is really just softly falling from the sky.
