Claudius Galen was a Roman physician who went to Rome and revived the ideas of Hippocrates and other Greek doctors.
He was prolific for explaining many of the human mysteries and the most important discovery that last a lifetime is that, he noted that arteries carry blood and pass from right side of the heart to the left side although he did not know much about circulation. Moreover, this discovery about the blood circulation of the human body was proven true, which made Galen famous and even given credit for his inspiring work and dedication to anatomy.
