Over the course of 130 years, the lighthouse in the photo above "moved" closer and closer to the beach. Of course, the lighthouse didn't travel- it was the beach that moved! What natural force could cause this beach to move further and further inland? Explain your answer in at least three sentences

Most likely due to the movement of plate tectonics. They are plates of earth under the ocean that move occasionally, over the years this is probably what happened. Plate tectonics are also the cause of most earthquakes and even tsunamis. Erosion could also play a factor in this as well.
