Biodiversity is the amount of species in a certain location, in other words, the concentration and diversity of species in a region.
So, since biodiversity is a concept that depends on species (fauna and flora), that is how it's related.

Species are diverse because there are so many and they are all different. Each species is biologically diverse from another. Biodiversity leads to adaptations and natural selection.
