so you get 1-4x>7 then get the x by its self -4x>7 then you make the x positive. multiply by -1 so you switch the sign 4x<7 divid by 4 and you get x<7/4 now you go on to the other equation 1-4x<-7 you get the x by itself and get -4x<-8 and multiply by -1 to get a positive number so you swith the sign 4x>8 so you didid by 4 and get x>2 so you get an interval notation of (-infinity,7/4) u (2,+infinity)

the |5x-1|<1 interval notation is (-2/5 ,0)
