Find the radius given the linear speed and the rate of rotation.
v = 32 m/2, 100 rev/min

Somebody deleted my answer before but this time my answer will be detailed

so using the formula v= r theta/ t. With r being the radius and t being the time.

Multiply 100 rev/min to 2pi

32m/ 1s = 200pir/ 1min

32m/ 1s = 200pir/ 1 min times 1 min/ 60 sec

32m/ 1 s = 100pir/ 30 s

960m = 100pir

9.6m = pir

3.06m = r

I know that I hella messed up earlier but I did try my hardest to explain this to you but this is like the easiest way I found and actually commented it on my answer earlier except IDK if you actually saw it. I apologize for earlier and I hope that I am not too late to help you out on this. I'm really sorry.

The radius of the given wheel is required.

The radius of the wheel is 3.1 m.

v = Linear speed = 32 m/s

[tex]\omega[/tex] = Angular velocity = [tex]100\ \text{rev\min}[/tex]

Converting rev/min to rad/s

[tex]100\ \text{rev/min}=100\times \dfrac{2\pi}{60}=\dfrac{10}{3}\pi\ \text{rad/s}[/tex]

Linear speed is given by

[tex]v=\omega r\\\Rightarrow r=\dfrac{v}{\omega}\\\Rightarrow r=\dfrac{32}{\dfrac{10}{3}\pi}\\\Rightarrow r=3.1\ \text{m}[/tex]

The radius of the wheel is 3.1 m.
